The Nominating Committee attracts and seeks out the most highly qualified nominees to fill each available position within the Center for Spiritual Living Colorado Springs. The Committee brings prayer, visioning, and scrutiny to its deliberations, thus providing CSLCS with nominees, or slates of candidates who are the most gifted and prepared for their proposed service in a greater level of leadership.

Core Council Job Description
General Summary:
The CORE Council serves a function similar, but not identical to a Corporate Board of Trustees. It is the final decision making body of the Center for Spiritual Living Colorado Springs. The Council’s most important role is to take the input from the Visioning, Stewardship and Operations Core and synthesize them into a clear direction and operational plan for CSL.
Time Commitment Required:
There is approximately one meeting per month for two hours each. Additional meeting are possible subject to special needs. Subject to an individual’s role on Core Council, additional time may be necessary either at the Center or off site.
Terms of Service are up to 3 years with an optional one-time re-election immediately following the period served.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Spiritual Leader to vision for the direction of Center for Spiritual Living Colorado Springs.
- Develop short and long range goals for the Center for Spiritual Living Colorado Springs.
- Review plans from all Core areas and consolidate into a clear direction and operational plan for the Center for Spiritual Living Colorado Springs.
- Prioritize, coordinate and apply resources to assure operational needs are met
- Ensure overall health and well-being of the Center for Spiritual Living Colorado Springs.
- Act as a communications hub and disseminate information throughout the Center.
- Report/oversee financial and accounting practices.
- Support the Stewardship Chair in preparing the annual budget.
- Provide a monthly analysis of actual to budget performance and recommend any changes to the budget based on performance.
- Attend and participate actively within the Center
- Seek and receive input from Practitioner and Core teams as well as interested members throughout Center for Spiritual Living Colorado Springs and meld into a single vision for our Community.

Works directly and interactively with all Cores
Skill/Training Requirements:
- Experienced in the philosophy of the Center.
- Business background and/or organizational acument
- Identifiable and active spiritual practice.
- Share easily a positive and constructive sense of joy.
- With unbiased participation, serve the welfare and advance of the entire Community rather than partisan representation of any groups or special interests.
- Solid foundation and belief in Science of Mind.
- A Member in good standing at the Center for Spiritual Living Colorado Springs
- Certificate of successful completion of Science of Mind Foundations Class.
- A self-starter and highly motivated.
- Doesn’t hold back anything that needs to be said (Spiritual Courage).
- Good at bringing out and exploring others’ creativity.
- Must attend Church regularly and be freely tithing to the Church.
- Experience and skill in: conflict management, customer focus, problem solving, strategic planning and development, decision making, management and/or leadership skills or experience.
- Fundraising and/or budgeting experience helpful.
Vision Core Job Description
General Summary:
The Vision Core visions and prays, catching God’s Divine plan for the highest unfolding of all aspects of our organization and recommending the timeliest and spiritually intuited achievements for our spiritual community. The Vision Core co-creates a Core vision for our evolving community.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Spiritual Leader to vision for the direction of Center for Spiritual Living Colorado Springs.
- Provide the visioning direction to all Cores and the CORE Council.
- Seek and receive input from Practitioner and Core teams as well as interested members throughout Center for Spiritual Living Colorado Springs and meld into a single vision for our Community.
- Vision on select topics by sensing the Divine Idea & be open to that which is to come into view. Vision on questions posed from any team or department and report results.
- Be a space of deep listening to hear God’s highest idea.
- Capture Visioning notes and distribute to key participants in Center for Spiritual Living Colorado Springs.
- By appointment, a member of the Vision Core will attend and participate in CORE Council meetings as a voting member.
- Actively engage in conversation with all visitors and new members.
- Actively give service in other areas of Church.
- Tithe regularly to the financial wellbeing of the Church.

Skill/Training Requirements:
- Experienced in the philosophy of the Center.
- Identifiable and active spiritual practice.
- Awareness of / or expertise in Visioning. Completion of the Visioning class is highly desirable.
- Willing to listen and be guided and go deeper in the Visioning process.
- Share a positive and constructive sense of joy easily.
- With unbiased participation, serve the welfare and advancement of the entire Community rather than partisan representation of any groups or special interests.
- Solid foundation and belief in Science of Mind.

Nominating Core Job Description
General Summary:
The Nominating Core attracts and seeks out the most highly qualified nominees to fill each available position within the Center for Spiritual Living Colorado Springs. The Core brings prayer, visioning and scrutiny to its deliberations, thus providing the Center for Spiritual Living Colorado Springs with nominees, or slates of candidates, most gifted and prepared for their proposed service in a greater level of leadership. A member from the Nominating Core will act as a liaison to the Core Council.
Time Commitment Required:
There is approximately one meeting per month for two hours. Additional meeting are possible subject to Core needs. Surge periods can occur during the year.
Terms of Service are up to 3 years with an optional one-time re-election immediately following the period served.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attract and find qualified nominees and prepare candidate pool for CORE Council to review.
- Nominating CORE presents and recommends and CORE Council signs off on the candidates
- Develop nominating process, forms and materials.
- Announce available positions and the process to the CSLCS Community.
- Receive nominations and/or identify candidates and verify nominations.
- Send material to nominees and gathers information from nominees.
- Communicate with and interview nominees to determine qualifications.
- Track progress of nominees through the interview process, communicating status to key CSLCS representatives.
- After approval from CORE Council, contact the nominee and inform them of their candidate status.
- Prepare announcement of candidate slate for the CSLCS community.

Skill/Training Requirements:
- Experienced in the organizational functioning of the Community.
- Identifiable and active spiritual practice.
- Ability to focus on attention to detail when necessary.

- Solid foundation and belief in Science of Mind.
- A Member in good standing at the Center for Spiritual Living Colorado Springs.
- Certificate of successful completion of Science of Mind Foundations Class.
- A self-starter and highly motivated.
- Proficient in basic computer skills including familiarity with word processing, e-mail.
- Experience and skills in working from an unbiased nature for evaluating candidates skills and expertise in leadership, communication, discernment, decision making and a strong team worth ethic and model.
