As we begin a new year, we return to the foundational teachings of Science of Mind and explore how timeless spiritual principles are reflected in the wisdom passed down through generations. By bringing New Thought together with Ancestral Wisdom, we are invited to see spirituality not just as something we learn, but as something we live, share, and remember together.
This month, our young people will explore core Science of Mind ideas through stories of nature, relationship, and reciprocity. Together, we’ll discover how ancient teachings and modern spiritual ideas both point us toward the same truth: we are deeply connected—to one another, to the Earth, and to the Divine Design of all that is. Each week offers a new way to experience these principles in age-appropriate, meaningful ways.
Here’s what we’ll be exploring each week:
Week 1 – Divine Mind and Maple Sugar
We’ll explore Divine Mind as a loving intelligence flowing through all life, much like sap flowing through a maple tree—reminding us that wisdom and care are always present and available.
Week 2 – Circulation and Wild Strawberries
This week focuses on sharing, gratitude, and generosity. We’ll learn how giving and receiving are part of a natural flow that keeps communities healthy and thriving.
Week 3 – Cause and Effect in the Sweetgrass
Our thoughts and actions shape what grows. Through the story of sweetgrass, we’ll explore how intention, respect, and care influence the outcomes we experience.
Week 4 – Infinite Possibilities and Sacred Kinship
We’ll close the month by celebrating infinite possibilities and our sacred connection to all beings, discovering how remembering our kinship opens us to greater compassion and hope.
