November Theme: Loving the Unlikeable

This month, we invite our young people to look deeper—beyond first impressions, judgments, and appearances—to discover the spiritual wisdom that lives even in the things we may resist or overlook.

Here’s what we’ll be exploring each week:

Week 1 – Decoding Unlikeability
Why do we find certain things (or people) unappealing? We’ll look at where dislike comes from and what happens when we soften our resistance and get curious.

Week 2 – The Beneathness
What’s happening under the surface—literally and spiritually? We’ll explore the unseen layers of life, from the soil beneath our feet to the inner world beneath our emotions.

Week 3 – Opinion, Fact, or Truth?
How do we know what we know? We’ll learn to notice the difference between beliefs, facts, and deeper spiritual Truth—and how to listen with both an open mind and an open heart.

Week 4 – Grateful for Kith and Kin
Before Thanksgiving, we tap into the joy of belonging—whether family is given, chosen, or found. We’ll explore gratitude for the people who shape our lives.

Week 5 – The Soul of an Octopus
Inspired by the wisdom of the natural world, we’ll close the month by looking at consciousness through the lens of octopuses—discovering Oneness in the most unexpected places.
