This month, we’re excited to explore our new theme: “Fall Into the All.”
As the air becomes cooler and the leaves begin changing into beautiful shades of red, orange, and gold, we are reminded that life is full of wonder! October is a season of colorful adventures, warm hugs, yummy treats, and special moments together. Nature shows us that change can be beautiful and that life is always growing, unfolding, and becoming something new.
Together, we’ll discover what it means to know that God is All. The colorful leaves, the laughter of children, the kindness of a friend, the love in our families, and the beauty of the world around us are all expressions of the One Life moving through everything. “Everything comes from the same loving Source. That means we are all connected. Life is always growing, always loving, and always giving. When we remember this Truth, we can feel supported, guided, and cared for. We can trust that we belong and that we are an important part of something bigger than ourselves.”
At Center for Spiritual Living Colorado Springs, we believe that God is not far away or separate from us. Spirit is everywhere! God is present in nature, in our communities, in every living thing, and within each one of us. Every person, every animal, every tree, and every season is a unique way that Life expresses itself.
Week 1: What Is God?We’ll explore how God is love, life, joy, wisdom, and goodness. Even when things feel uncertain, we can remember that Spirit is always with us, helping us feel peaceful, brave, and supported.
You can relate by noticing God’s love when someone comforts you after a hard day, when you feel happy playing with friends, or when you find the courage to try something new.
Week 2: Where Is God?
Where can we find God? Everywhere! We’ll discover how Spirit shows up in nature, in our families and friendships, in our experiences, and within our own hearts.
You can relate by looking for God in a colorful sunset, a wagging puppy tail, a family hug, a blooming flower, or the kindness of a friend. Together we’ll practice seeing Spirit all around us.
Week 3: The Power of One
Have you ever noticed how one smile, one kind word, or one helping hand can brighten someone’s day? We’ll learn how each of us has the power to make a positive difference and create ripples of kindness in the world.
You can relate by inviting someone to play at recess, helping clean up without being asked, sharing a toy, or offering encouragement to someone who feels left out. Small actions can make a big difference!
Week 4: God As Me!
God expresses in a special way through every person. We’ll celebrate our unique gifts, talents, and qualities as we discover how Spirit shines through each of us just as we are.
You can relate by recognizing what makes you special, whether it’s being creative, curious, thoughtful, joyful, athletic, kind, or a great friend. We’ll learn that our uniqueness is one of the many ways God expresses in the world.
We are always looking for volunteers to assist with our fun activities in our Youth & Family Ministry. If you would like to join in on our Sunday fun, please let Ms. Cassie or Michelle Fien know. We’d love to have you join our group!
To our volunteers who already share their time and talents with our youth, thank you. A special appreciation to our teenage teacher’s aide, Em, and to Ms. Rachel, Ms. Lynn, Ms. Amanda Carmen, Mr. Davi, and Ms. Bettina for all your love, support, and dedication to our ministry. We truly could not do it without you. Thank you for being such an important part of our CSL family.
Take a family walk through your neighborhood, a local park, or simply around your yard. As you walk together, invite each family member to find five things that remind them of God. Perhaps it’s the bright colors of a leaf, the kindness of a neighbor, a playful squirrel, the warmth of the sunshine, or the laughter shared together.
When you get home, gather together and share your discoveries. Ask:
“Where did you notice God today?”
“What helped you feel connected to Spirit?”
“How did you experience God’s love through the world around you?”
Finish by holding hands and speaking together:
“God is all, and God is expressing through me, through you, and through everything around us. We are grateful for this beautiful life.”
As we journey through this beautiful autumn season together, may your hearts be filled with peace, your homes filled with laughter, and your spirits filled with the knowing that you are deeply loved. May you find God in every colorful leaf, every shared meal, every act of kindness, and every moment of connection. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your family’s spiritual journey. We are honored to learn, grow, celebrate, and discover together what it means to live from the Truth that God is All.
