July is here, and with it comes a beautiful new theme: Free To Be Me. This month, we celebrate the truth that every person is a unique expression of one God. Each of us carries our own divine individuality, and our consciousness helps shape the reality we experience. The goal of life is freedom from all discord of any kind—and this freedom is not only possible, it is assured for all. As we move through July, our youth will explore what it means to embrace their authentic selves, trust their inner creative power, and recognize the divine uniqueness within everyone they meet.
Our weekly lessons will guide them through this exploration in fun, thoughtful, and spiritually grounded ways. We begin with Thinking Outside the Box, encouraging kids to see beyond limitations and discover new possibilities. Week two brings us into The Creative Process, helping them understand how thoughts, feelings, and intention shape their world. In week three, we explore Mistake or Masterpiece?, teaching that every experience—whether messy or magical—can lead to growth and beauty. We close the month with It’s Okay to Be Okay, reminding our youth that peace, acceptance, and self‑kindness are powerful spiritual tools.
For this month’s at‑home spiritual practice, we invite families to explore a simple activity called Free To Be Me Moments. Each day, take a few minutes—alone or together—to notice a moment when you felt free, authentic, or uniquely yourself. Write it down, draw it, or share it aloud. You can pair this with a short affirmation such as: “I am a unique expression of Spirit, free to be exactly who I am.” This practice helps children and families strengthen self‑acceptance, creativity, and spiritual confidence throughout the month.
As always, we are grateful for the volunteers who support our Center and our Youth Family Ministry. If you feel called to help—whether in the main Center or with our kiddos—you can sign up online or at the Welcome Center. And to those who already volunteer, thank you for your love, your time, and your ongoing support. You make a meaningful difference in our community.
With love and gratitude, Cassie Youth Family Ministry Lead
